On June 6, 2019, the VA Mission Act came into force, giving Veterans better access to the health care they need, whether in the VA or in their community. The NCR provides support and services to eligible Veterans who are unable to attend VA facilities due to time, distance or other eligible factors. We are proud to partner with OPTUM to provide a network of qualified health care, dental and integrative care providers and retail pharmacies to support the care of eligible veterans. Once SCC is fully deployed in Regions I, II and III, the OPTUM supplier network, as well as VA, will serve six million veterans in 36 states, Washington D.C, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Community providers are important partners in VA, ensuring our veterans receive the excellent care they so richly deserve. In partnership with a strong network of compassionate and dedicated primary and specialized care providers, we are able to provide exceptional health care services that meet the needs of veterans in every community. – Military service is physically and mentally demanding for a person, from the first day of training to the last day in uniform. VA is constantly evolving and modernizing to meet the needs of veterans who are waiting for us to receive the care they need. We are very proud of our network of providers affiliated with a united health group who have chosen to care for our country`s veterans by joining our network, and we look forward to connecting with other providers who are passionate about serving the women and men who have raised their right hands to support our country. As a veteran, daughter and wife of a veteran, and as the mother of a soldier, there is no greater honor than to support the VA`s goal of providing excellent health care to the women and men who have made many sacrifices and served our nation. December 2018 designated as the TPA for the VA Community Care Network for Regions 1, 2 and 3, which includes 36 states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Optum, part of the UnitedHealth Group®, is honored to partner with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs through VA`s new community care network. Together, we will ensure that our country`s veterans have access to the right care, at the right time and in the right environment. The Community Care Network (CHN) is made up of community providers who help our veterans get the excellent care they deserve.
